Public Movement is a performative research body which investigates and stages political actions in public spaces. It studies and creates public choreographies, forms of social order and overt and covert rituals. In 2018, Public Movement presented its first solo exhibition in Italy, Temporary Orders, at Vistamarestudio gallery, Milan. In 2017, the group performed Rescue in Aarhus, European Capital of Culture. In 2016, Public Movement presented Debriefing Session II and Choreographies of Power at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York. A year before, their solo exhibition, National Collection, was held at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, and in the same year the book Solution 263: Double Agent, written by Alhena Katsof and Dana Yahalomi, was published by Sternberg Press. Public Movement won the Rosenblum Prize for the Performing Arts (2017) and in 2014 was shortlisted for the Future Generation Art Prize at the Pinchuk Art Center, Kiev. The group has performed in the Asian Art Biennial, Taipei; Steirischer Herbst Festival, Graz; Berlin Biennial; New Museum Triennial, New York; Performa, New York; Gothenburg Biennial, VanAbbemuseum, Eindhoven; Zacheta National Gallery, Warsaw; Baltic Circle Festival, Helsinki. Public Movement was founded in December 2006 by Dana Yahalomi and Omer Krieger. In 2001, Yahalomi became the sole director of the group.
